Turn Old Christmas Cards Into Gifts Tags

Do you save your cards from year to year? I hate to throw them away. I found a great idea that will work for all your non-photo cards (those I keep!).

Easy Gift Tag Pocket | Love of Home

You’ll need:

Old Christmas cards
Scrapbook paper
Clear scrapbooking pockets
Two sides tape
Shape punches
Embellishment

I started by punching shapes out of my old cards. I have a couple tag punches so I made a few shapes, but you can do them all the same.

Take your clear pocket and cut off the tab part, but don’t cut the sealed edge.

Cut your scrapbook paper within a 1/4″ of the pocket size width, then add a few inches to the length to fold over.

Using the two-sided tape, tape the pocket to the paper.

Fill with tags, fold tab over and embellish.

I used a small velcro dot to hold the cover closed.

This is such thoughtful and very affordable gift that’s useful too!
