Having overnight guests for the holidays? I’ve got a few ideas to help you make your guest room a great place to stay. I try to treat the guest room as if my guests were staying at a hotel by anticipating their needs. This way they don’t have to come and ask for things (which they may be reluctant to do).
I started with necessities like Cottonelle, Scott 1100, Kleenex Perfect Fit and Viva Paper Towels. I like to have our household needs covered especially during the holiday season; I purchased all these items at Walmart. Check out the Ibotta app, get $1 off Cottonelle 12-ct or larger, $1 off Scott 12-ct or larger, $1 off Viva 6-ct or larger and buy two products and get an extra dollar back! I love to buy these items in bulk so I’m not caught off guard and run out of something!
I put together a book for guests. It’s got a rendering of our home and a little welcome tag tied one with ribbon. I added a page for items like, favorite restaurants, things to do and our wifi info so guest don’t have to ask.
I outfitted the drawer with paper & pen, mints, hand cream, extra soap, extra toothbrush and toothpaste and razor. The nightstand has a clock, glass, a bottle of water & the cute Christmas Kleenex® Perfect Fit. There are extra wash clothes, hand towels and bath towels along with extra rolls of Scott® 1100 toilet paper.
I added extra blankets, a comforter and a few magazines for my guest to enjoy. The luggage rack is from my grandparents house which is a nice spot for my guest to put their luggage or bag. I also added a few touches for Christmas and fresh flowers to make the room feel warm and welcoming!
