I love food, especially when it comes from our own garden. I planted these lovely yellow tomatoes this year, they are really wonderful. (I’m sure there is a proper name for them but the tag from the plant is buried under a 4′ mass of tomatoes). The basil is from our garden, it’s something I use often. The scent is beautiful.
Slice your favorite tomatoes, layer with fresh mozzarella and basil. Drizzle with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sprinkle with salt & pepper! I like to serve with bread to soak up anything left on the plate.
I realized after I posted this that I usually put the basil on the top……hmmm…..wonder why I did that?
Oh well, you get the idea, it’ll taste just as good!
