Hello, I’m so happy you’re here today. I’m joining a group of bloggers who are putting together an Italian feast! We’ve got lots of ideas from appetizers to table decor so be sure you visit all my friends who are linked up below.
Welcome to my Spring inspired Italian feast. I grew up cooking with my Italian grandmother. So the love of Italian is literally in my blood. Since lemons are plentiful in Italy (they are one of the largest producers of lemons in the world). I thought I’d use that as my jumping off point and decided that yellow would be my pop of color.
I moved our kitchen table to the family room near the windows. I kind of like it there. It got me thinking about how I could keep it there but that’s another post! I started with placemats I got at Home Goods. I purchased two round rattan and then four rectangular with similar feel and colors.
I picked up 9 Wedgewood china plates for $7 at a thrift shop this weekend. The brown transferware I purchased at an estate sale a few years ago. They were very expensive as well. I layered with napkins I also found at Home Goods 6 for $9.99. I picked up one bunch of daffodils I got at Trader Joe’s for $1.49.
I added some battery powered candles and a couple mason jars with breadsticks.
I made goodie bags that are filled with Italian lemon cream cookies with a name tag for each person. I added a piece of washi tape to tie in the yellow and tied with jute string to go with the mats.
You can download the sign and tags Italian Printable PDF. Just print out and use as you like. I added the sign to my standing chalkboard I picked up awhile back at Target in the Dollar Spot.
