After all the decorations are down I love to pare down the house. I need things to be simple and clean for some reason. Maybe it goes along with that fresh start? I changed out some pillows, edited some of the accents.
I love the white sofa and the ability to make the room feel different with little effort by switching out the pillows. It’s a good time to clean out a drawer or two. Go through your books, dust, vacuum and rearrange a little. I moved my money plant, a little green makes a difference.
You can do this in about 20 minutes and it’s such a pick me up.
We have a pocket door which is usually open but it looks cute closed. It leads to a first floor bedroom & full bath.
I love that the room has bits and pieces from my family. The chair in the corner was my grandmother’s that I had recovred. The end table was my other grandmother’s. Some pieces are new like the sofa and white chairs that I pushed together. The mirror is an estate sale find and the piece from an old piano that I turned into artwork.
Thanks for visiting! Until next time xo
