Keeping busy continues. I’m in full house purge mode here and it sure does feel good to get rid of the stuff we don’t need. I’ve been keeping busy while Ona is busy before she goes.
I wanted to send her off with something that I made for her so I decided to make her a blanket for her bed since we didn’t find anything that she loved.
I crochet just enough to know the very basics. This pretty blanket is made all with the single crochet.
The great thing about crochet is that I find it’s much easier to correct if you make a mistake.
I used 10 skeins of Ginormous Big yarn found at Michael’s and a size Q crochet hook.
This should look cute with her duvet it’s black and white plaid.
You can see how easy the single crochet is here. My super quick video. It’s not perfect but hopefully, you get the idea :)
Here it is while doing the blanket!
Here is the finished blanket. I hope it brings her the comfort of home like wrapping up in a big hug.
The blanket is heavy and should be nice and warm!
The purge at the house continues….pretty soon I’ll be all done!

So pretty Susan! I really need to try one of these blankets…love the hand knitted one you made as well. I’m sure the blanket will bring her lots of comfort, a warm hug from her momma.
Thank you, friend! This one was super easy, crochet and the hand knitting is more forgiving so you don’t need to be an expert!
You are such an inspiration. Thank you so much for your blog.
You are too kind, thank you for visiting!
Do you have a written pattern for this?
