Pretty Fabric Covered Books

I can hardly believe that Fall is around the corner!

I’m slowly getting out the Fall decor and using things I already have.

I decided to cover my stack of books from the living room in a pretty Fall fabric. At the end of this post you can check what my friends Brenda from Cozy Little House, Susan from Love of Home and Cassie from Cassie Bustamante are doing to welcome Fall.

I did it just like you cover a book with a paper bag back in the day!

The room is pretty neutral so I was happy to find this one in my fabric stash.

I’ve got enough left to make a pillow for the couch too.

Fold in the long edges and lay the book on top.

Fold in the end and put the book into the pocket you created.
covering books with fabric for the seasons.

Do the same for the back of the book.

I did not glue mine so I can easily remove them but you could add a little glue and the would be more permanent.

I’m joining my blog friends today and they are sharing their ideas for Fall too! I hope you’ll stop and visit them too!

They are so pretty, Susan! The fabric says Fall all around. I love the feel of fabric covered books. Ha, the ones on my vignette today were precisely, covered with painters canvas long time ago and I love them!

Susan, I love this! I have got to cover some books now. Unfortunately when I moved to this apartment, I parted with my 20 year fabric stash! Now I’ll have to get more. Pinned!

I’m obsessed with all the beautiful fabric on the market. Needless to say I have quite a stash. I love to find new ways to use it. This is a great one.

When you mentioned using a paper sack for a book cover, that brought back good memories. I hadn’t thought about doing that in years. My 9 year old grandson was given a tablet at school his first day to use all year. Things have changed!!

I know they sure have! Every year I still get a few books that need covering!
