Seems like I always have a couple bananas that don’t get eaten. I love banana bread so I thought I’d whip up a loaf for us to enjoy. I used three recipes from Pinterest and adapted them. Here is my recipe below. two ripe bananas 1/2 canola oil 1tsp vanilla 1/3 cup homemade buttermilk (1/3 cup of half-n-half & 1 tsp vinegar, let sit for
I love this time of year, my peonies are in full bloom! They just make me smile. We spent a few hours in the yard this weekend and I made a perfect porch sandwich (according to my husband!). Whole grain bread, avocado, arugula, honey roasted turkey with a chili garlic mayo (mix a little mayo with chili garlic sauce, it’s fantastic!). I brought this out
I made Polenta with Bolognese sauce for the first time last night and it was delicious! I love all things food (you could tell by my package from Amazon today), if I could make a living cooking, writing about cooking or entertaining I would have the perfect job! I was watching Food Network over the weekend, the show, The Best Thing I Ever Made. Chef
I saw this recipe on the chef in training site and thought my family would like it. Since we have a family of five I used three pie crusts , more chicken & broccoli which made six pockets. I melted the butter and brushed it on so I got every little piece of the dough.

PrintSalted Chocolate Carmel Pretzel Brownies Ingredients½ C butter, softened ¾ C brown sugar ¼ C sugar 2 eggs 1¼ tsp vanilla extract 1½ C all-purpose flour ½ tsp baking powder

I love looking through my old photos, sometimes it is bittersweet. Years gone by, wonderful memories of the kids. One thing we always do is color eggs. I bought this awesome little kit from my sweet friend Karen who sells them on Etsy. The eggs turn out so beautiful! These photos are from a previous year when we used her kit. I can’t find a
