Hello! So happy to have you here today. It’s our February edition of 10 Minute Decorating. Lots of fun ideas that can be done in ten minutes to make you love your kitchen!
I have a really simple project. A decorative hand towel. You’ll need flour sack towels (mine are from Target 4 for $7.99), a Sharpie or fabric pen and tape. I’ll use the extra towels for other projects so stay tuned!
So if you have nice writing that’s pretty much all you need. If you want you can always use a stencil instead or do what I did print your saying out on printer paper. Painters tape is great for keeping things in place and comes off easily.
Here’s how to make your Keep It Simple hand towel.
I printed the saying on a piece of regular printer paper 8 1/2″ x 11″ in the font. I taped that down on a protected service with painter’s tape. I laid the flour sack on top of the paper and taped that down as well. I used a Sharpie and traced the letters. That’s it! I washed it in cold wash and it washed perfectly no running and it didn’t fade. I won’t mind if it does fade a little down the road I like that look!

I love all of these ideas!! What do you have planted in the various bowls in the other pictures? I have the white bumpy bowl/vase that is in the “vintage” picture and would love to have whatever is planted in that in my kitchen. Thank you!
Hi Lydia! I used tulips, ranunculus and carnations. I think the faux flowers in the mason jar are ranunculus too!
