I love the string art kits you can buy so many cute things to choose from! I had some old barn wood pieces so I thought I’d try making my own string art. It took me all of about 10 minutes.
Wood, upholstery tacks, hammer, string and your shape on paper (or if you are super artsy just draw it!).
Put your paper on the wood where you want it and anchor it with a few tacks. Outline the design spacing them evenly.
Remove the paper leaving just the tacks. Hook the string to start and go around the outside of your design and continue to fill in unto you’re happy with it. Knot and you’re done! I tried to go over each tack at least once when criss- crossing the star. The great thing about this is there is no wrong way (at least in my opinion!).
