After all this time I have never put together a whole home tour in one post. I’m sharing some of our favorite rooms and links back to the entire post if you want to see more.
Welcome to our 1890 farmhouse. Some of you might know our story but some of you may have never heard it. (You can read it here!)I grew up near the black and white farmhouse that loved since I was little. Fast forward 30 years and the house is for sale. Somehow we are lucky enough to buy it and it’s been our home for over 16 years. We’ve taken on projects big and small and it continues to evolve. I hope you enjoy the tour of our home.
I love our little entry. It gets crazy and cluttered sometimes but I love the cubbies and the bead board.
The kitchen and family room is really the heart of our home. We spend lots of time in these two adjoining rooms.
The family room has a new look! You can see the reveal here.
Our full bath upstairs. Hoping to update a bit one day
Our first floor full bath that got a mini makeover recently.
Our powder room that I recently lightened up.
Our living room and dining room.
I love the front porch. It was one of the reasons I loved the house. You can see more of our porches here.
Our back porch is screened in and off the kitchen. It gets a lot of use in the warmer months.
I hope you enjoyed seeing our home!

Candy it sounds beautiful! Thanks for visiting!!
Your home is absolutely splendiferous, so much about it is just gorgeous but have to say I had an “oh’ God” moment when I saw your kitchen and my thoughts were that this is the one and I want it lol!!! Beautiful home, I am sure a lot of work went into it, it is a large house but a lot of what you have created could easily work in something smaller, except that kitchen, so glad I found this today, thank you.
Thank you jo! So glad you like it! The kitchen was done 11 years ago but I’m sure you could duplicate in any size!! Thanks for coming by!
Susan, I love the tour of your farmhouse. It is beautiful, traditional but unique. As a child, one of the houses we lived in was built in 1870, after Gen. Sherman’s army burned down most of the houses in a line through Georgia. The house across the street was antibellum and well kept. Ours was run down. I wish I could go back to that house and restore it to its best days. I’m glad you found your house and made it a beautiful home.
Thank you Jewell you are so sweet! I”m sure it would be beautiful if you could go back!! Have a great weekend!
Your home is absolutely gorgeous! How cool is it to live in your childhood dream home?
Thank you Jessica! It really was such a wonderful surprise that we were able to buy it! Thanks for visiting!!
Beautiful! Love your big porch! Love the aqua table and chest out there!
Thank you Florence, so glad you came by!!
Your house is gorgeous. I love it all.
Thank you Debra!!
Beautiful! Old homes are my passion. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for visiting!
Your farmhouse is beautiful. I adore your covered front porch and especially love the bathroom with the claw foot tub. That is a huge farmhouse. I also own a farmhouse but it is teeny weeny at only 570′ sq feet. Do you believe that many families lived in it and raised many children in it before I purchase it 4 years ago? I love to see how other farmhouse lovers fix up their homes. Yours is amazing.
Thank you so much! I will have to stop by and visit your blog!! I love to see other homes too!!
