Handmade Diffuser Ornament

I am so excited that you’re here today!

I’m joining 30 friends sharing handmade ornament ideas!!

Ornament hop long
I love giving something homemade for the Holidays.

I created this simple ornament diffuser. No special tools necessary!

ornament w words

You’ll need:

Wood slices
Mini trees
Clothespins
Glue
Twine
Essential oil (I used Christmas Spirit).

ornament supplies

First, a painted one side of the clothespin. I wanted them white (this is optional or you can buy a colored pin).
When that’s dry I tied on some off-white twine.
I glued the mini tree to the wood slice and then glued that to the end of the clothespin.
Add a few drops of your favorite holiday scented oil to the wood and you’re done!

These would also make a cute gift topper with a bottle of your favorite oil!
We have an artificial tree so anything that makes the house smell like a real tree I’m up for! Do you need oils?  I can help! You can order them here.

Hi Susan, you’ve created such a cute ornament.

I absolutely love the idea of attaching it to a wooden clothes pin. The pin adds a perfect touch of additional rustic charm to the entire project.

    Just lovely.

    Happy day to you.

I love the idea of having a lovely aroma emanating from an artificial Christmas tree, Susan. Your little clip is so cute! And it inspires so many possibilities for gluing miniatures on a tiny wood slice for quick and easy Christmas ornaments.

So glad you joined us for the blog hop!!

    Hi Susan,

What a great idea. I love those mini trees and how great is it to use the wood to diffuse a beautiful fragrance. I love the smell of pine but we’ve been using an artificial tree the last few years due to time and money. This would be a great way to bring the scent to the tree.
