Get Organized Week One Spring Challenge

After reading through the input from my reader survey I quickly realized that so many of us need help or maybe motivation to keep organized! For the month of March, I challenge you to join me and use this month to tidy and clean our homes! Once a week I’ll post an idea for each day that week to keep us motivated so when Spring arrives we are ready! Each day has one task that you can get done in one day. When the house gets away from me I feel overwhelmed. I like when things are somewhat orderly it makes the days easier.

Spring is a time of renewal and it’s a great time to look around our homes and see what we can remove, clean and organize. For me posting this will keep me accountable to carry through on all my ideas. I can’t wait to see how the house feels after a good month of tackling the cleaning and organizing process! Are you ready to join me? You can leave me a comment, you can email me or you can just follow along. Whatever will motivate you to keep at it.  Are you ready?

So here’s my list for week one. It doesn’t matter what order you do these in. Do whatever makes you happy!

The paper pile, you know the one you just can’t seem to get rid of? If you don’t have a paper pile, you get the day off!

Do all your laundry and put it away!

Clean your dishwasher, you can see how I do this here.

Clean the windows in one room inside and out if weather allows.

Dust a room. Take any room. Take everything off your flat surfaces and give everything a good dusting even fixtures, baseboards, etc.

Go through your linen closet. Tidy it, get rid of what you don’t want. So many places to donate items that you don’t want or need!

Organize a kitchen cupboard. Whether it’s your plastic containers or your pots and pans. Clean it so when you open it up it looks so nice you’ll smile!

So if you miss something on the list, don’t quit! Do what you can, try to keep at it so you’ll feel great when it’s done! Want more organizing tips? You can check out the category here.

Thank you for coming by. I’m off to get going on my list!

Oh I have been purging and clearing things out all over the house. The linen closet is my latest and I love having a clean closet.
