Our Gallery Wall Layout & a Tip for Hanging Frames

Our ever evolving gallery wall layout has changed again. I’ve been on the lookout for “D’s” that I could use to breakup the framed photos in addition to our Est. sign. Target had some frames on sale awhile back and I picked up two that were matted so I could integrate them into the layout. One made it there, for now, the other is on a table in the living room. I never noticed that the light switch cover was crooked until I put something next to it! Turns out it’s not a quick fix without making a bit of a mess so for now I’ll have to live with it! Did you notice it?

I’m not a fan of the frames with two hooks that you have to get even. My tip is to tie a bit of twine so you can hang it with one nail instead of having to level two. This makes hanging super simple.

I can’t believe I never thought of stringing something between the two pieces of hardware on a frame. My life just got easier!

Wow that looks gorgeous! I’ve been meaning to update my picture wall for a couple of years now – my poor son doesn’t even feature on it! You’ve given me the push I need!

Love your photo display. I have used the string on double hangers also. A quick fix you could try for your switch plate is hang a small matted open frame around your switch and if may not be as noticeable.? Worth a try.
