This might be the easiest DIY project ever! Make your own faux chalkboard.
Lots of great chalkboard projects but this one is SO simple!
I took my old estate sale frame (I love this frame the chipped paint is perfect!).
I used two sheets of black cardstock and some double sided tape.
I added the black paper to the frame side by side instead of layered on top.
Then I cut “hello” out of white cardstock with my Cricut (you can use a stencil, hand cut the letters or get the die cuts letters from the craft store).
Paste letters to the black background and you’re done!
It looks a lot like a chalkboard doesn’t it?
I told you it was easy! I added to my buffet for now.
After I put the frame there I got the idea to paint the frame on the mirror the color of the china cabinet!
They are across from one another so I think that will balance things a little more.
Runner if off the stairs so hopefully I can share that next week with you all! Don’t forget our link party tomorrow night at 8pm!
If you’re on Instagram look for me! I post there at least once a day. You can find me here.
