I love pens and pencils and paper…for as long as I can remember.
I don’t know why but I love notecards, calendars and notepads.
I love making lists and I love to write.
Someday when I’m retired I’m going to write a book…sorry I digress!
I’ve always loved calligraphy but have never taken a class.
Keep reading for my easy faux calligraphy tutorial!
Here is the easiest way I’ve found to get the look.
You’ll need your favorite pens and paper or envelopes.
Write out your greeting or envelope address.
On each letter add a line to all the down strokes of your pen to the left of the original letter line. See photo 2.
Fill in that area on each letter.
This actually gets easier the more you do it and you can add all kinds of extra bits to make it fancy.
The key is to make all the down strokes of the pen thicker!
I picked these up at Walmart while I was school shopping for the kids but I plan on keeping these for myself.
I have a coupon to share with you! Save $0.75 on any ONE 4-pack (or larger) of G2 Gel Ink pens
This I used the bold tip.
This one I used the fine tip pen.
Great for special invitations, cards, signs, etc.
I love this easy technique and no special tools or skills required!
