This time of year makes me want to nest, change the pillows and make the house cozy. I put together a list of my absolute favorite kitchen essentials. These are items I have and use often. I remember when I first got my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, it was a big investment at the time. I probably use it a few times a week for the last 12 years! Worth every penny!
I love my crockpot, I have this same one except the porcelain one. if you don’t have one you should try cooking in it. It really makes dinners easy when you won’t’ be home. A little planning ahead and you’ll be set.
I love my half sheet pans from Williams Sonoma and the Silpat liners. I have two of each and use them all the time. I don’t bake without them.
I have a few go-to utensils like a few whisks, spatulas, and wood spoons. I have one of these spider strainers too I use it to drain my pasta so I don’t even use a colander anymore.
I love my Boos wood cutting board, it’s big enough that I can make piles when I’m cutting lots of things. Glass ones dull your knives. The wood is actually really easy to clean. I use Kosher salt and lemon juice. I make a paste with it and rub in all over the board. Rinse and dry.
My Wusthof Classic 7-Inch Santoku Knife is awesome! I’ve had for quite a long time, it’s my only “real” knife and again a little investment but really lasts a long time and it makes such a difference when chopping!
So what you are your Fall Kitchen Essentials? Stop back tomorrow I’ve got a delicious apple muffin recipe to share.
