I’ve got the easiest envelope DIY pillow cover to share with you. It’s so simple I make all my pillows this way! I love to change out my pillows and making them yourself can be very economical and it’s so easy!
Measure your pillow form and add one inch to each length. If the pillow is 24″ x 18″ cut you would cut the front 25″ x 19″. The way I cut my fabric I had to get a little creative for the back side of the pillow. So the stripes are running the opposite way. I don’t mind though it’s a little quirky like me. I used 1 1/2 yards of fabric for two 18″ x 24″ pillows.
For the back I create a simple opening by using two pieces that are larger than the front. The I fold those back to create a nice edge and sew down.
Then take the two back pieces and lay them right sides together with the front making sure they overlap each other.
Pin and sew all the way around the pillow cover. Trim the corners and then turn right side out.
They complete my summer living room.
