Still need a quick last minute gift? A handmade stationary set is just the thing. If you have a few simple supplies you can make one in less than an hour. The patterned paper is from Hobby Lobby.
You’ll need 8 1/2 x 11 card stock or pre made blank cards available at all craft stores.
One piece of 12 x 12″ card stock for folder
Decorative papers approx. 6 pieces
Glue or adhesive
Stamps/ ink optional
If you are using pre made cards then you can skip the first two steps.
Cut the 8 1/2 x 11 paper so you have two 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 pieces.
Using the scoring tool to score each piece at 4 1/4 on the 8 1/2″ side. Fold on score mark. You should end up with a notecards 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″.
Cut your decorative papers just smaller than the notecards or a little more if you want a border.
Adhere a decorative paper to each notecard. For this sett I made 8.
You can stamp the envelopes if you like. I stamped the recipient’s initial on the back flaps to personalize it.
Cut your 12 x 12″ card stock to 12 x 9 and score so you create a flap inside the folder to hold the cards and envelopes.
Decorate cover and tied closed. I used jute since I was going for a more masculine feel and go with the Cape Cod theme of the cards.
