DIY Spring Wreath

Hello! I’m so happy to be bringing some Spring inspiration today. I have a simple DIY Spring wreath to share with you. This is an inexpensive way to freshen things up. I always try to make our home warm and welcoming. I think a wreath on the door or in the entry does that perfectly, this one was created for our mudroom. Do you need inspiration for your wreath?  Try looking through a magazine. You can see some of my wreath ideas here. I love to start with a simple grapevine wreath, the one I used is from the Target’s bargain aisle for $3.00. I removed the twine and rewrapped it with some I had.

To recreate this wreath you’ll need:

Any size grapevine wreath, a hot glue gun, moss, a birds nest, eggs and a few flowers. I used dried lavender but you could use your favorite silk flower. I also used a few tiny pine cones I had to finish the wreath and  a length of ribbon to hang it.

Hot glue the moss down in a pattern that you like. I tried to mold the moss to the wreath so it looks real.

Add the nest and eggs. I added a bit of moss to the nest before I put in the eggs. Add the lavender or flowers on each side.

Tie your ribbon around the wreath or tie to a loop of the wreath and hang!

This is sooo pretty and very inspiring!

I am putting together a sort of Easter arts and crafts compilation blog post, with pictures of creative projects for spring. Would you mind if I shared one of your pictures? I will of course credit it to this post. I did the same thing last year if you would like a reference on how it might look: http://aliciasivert.blogspot.se/2015/03/paskpeppen-2015.html

    Thank you for the inspiration!
    Sincerely,
    Alicia

Love it, love it. Hated to throw away those bits of moss, now I know what to do with it. And the ribbon says it all. Spring is here.
