Welcome to the October edition of 10-minute decorating!
I made this easy DIY Burlap Banner- 10 Minute Decorating!
I love the texture and color this adds the fireplace.
It’s considered a jute furniture webbing, you can buy in a roll from most craft stores.
First, cut your banner pieces, mine are approximately 4″, 5″ & 6″.
I have nine pennants that span 48″ of rope.
I left about 4″ at the ends for tying.
I used a small square on an angle to trace the cutout. I did this on the back of the pennant pieces.
I used hot glue to adhere each piece to the rope. I started at the middle and worked my way out from there.
I hope you’ll visit my other blog friends and see what easy ideas they have to share this month!
Thank you for the beautiful tips. I will get moving, thanks to you.
I have a such a soft spot for welting – ahem… So I have rolls of it. Now I have an idea for using some of it! Thx Susan.

Hi Susan –
Very clever and decorative use for the webbing. It looks very stylish used to make a banner. I have a wood mantel …how did you attach the banner to the mantel…cup hooks or the removeable 3M hooks?
Hi Diane. I put two really small, short nails. You can hardly see them!
