This time of year is beautiful here and there are so many lovely natural elements we can use for our Fall decorating.
Here are my 5 favorites.
Acorns. If you are lucky enough to have an oak tree on your property then you are set! We don’t have one, but we do have friends that do. Does anyone think it’s odd when you start picking up the acorns in their yard when you visit? Our friends were thrilled to get rid of a few.
Pinecones. I LOVE pinecones, is that weird? I have bags of them. We have lots of them on our property but I collect them from anywhere I am. If you stop here often you know my little guy and I pick them up together all the time. I used them for tons of things and I’ll share all my pinecone projects with you in an upcoming post.
Twigs/Branches. This might seem a little odd, but there are lots of fun uses for branches that have fallen or you cut.
Leaves. If you’re in the Northeast there is no shortage of leaves this time of year! We have piles and piles of them. I wandered around today picking up all the pretty red & orange ones!
Greens. I cut the boxwood from the yard pretty often. I also use the pines trees and the other flowering shrubs in the yards. If you don’t have anything handy, get your clippers out and take a walk. There are so many pretty things that you can cut from a walk in the woods or park.
What your favorite to bring inside?
