Welcome to Love of Home! I’m so glad you’re here! Today I wanted to share how I made the Autumn sign for my table from last week. I love making signs for the house. There’s nothing like a sweet quote or a rustic sign to enhance the coziness of the house. I have a super easy way to make your own sign for Autumn!
I started with a pallet my dad found that we took apart. We cut the piece to 18″. I gave it a quick sand and paint with some extra white paint I have for touchups around the house! I let that dry and then sanded a bit more.
Then I went to my laptop and found a font I liked and decided on the sizing and printed it on copy paper. Once it was printed out.
I went over the back of the letters with a pencil.
Then I turned it over, taped it where I wanted it on the wood and traced with a pen. This leaves a light outline on the board.
I filled in the outline with a black sharpie! You can use paint, but the sharpie was so easy and fast!
I’m sharing Fall ideas with this terrific group!
