There you are! Today I’m sharing the bath renovation progress.
This project has been in the works or at least in my head for years!
When we first moved here we had no children so only having one shower worked just fine. When the kids were young the tub was great. Fast forward ten plus years and we have two teenagers and one quickly approaching teen. The one shower was just not cutting it. We wanted to very affordably convert the bath upstairs to a more usable bath.
The old fixtures were charming but the functionality was just not there. Washing your hands with separate hot and cold water did not work well. The sink had no storage and the toilet flushed like a tornado! The old floor while nice in photos, was pretty ugly. It’s not quite done yet but it’s been so long in the making I thought I’d share it so far!
Here is what our old bath looked like.
We had a few hiccups along the way. The vanity top was smashed up when we opened the box so that took about three weeks to get a new one and the shower surround is still in the works as our setup was unlike most so we need another piece. I’m looking forward to getting that up and running!
Progress.
I have some accessories and artwork to add and storage for the shower.
My white lace curtains make another appearance (I use them all over). The beadboard got a fresh coat of white and the walls a nice navy blue. The vanity and toilet are from Lowe’s, the light is from Pottery Barn ($79) and the mirror and rugs are from Target. The floor is a wood looking vinyl. I’m hoping that it will hold up with the water.
I’ll be back again once it’s totally complete but I thought I’d share it in progress.
Have a wonderful week and thank you for coming by!
I love the new look! It looks just like my Mom’s bathroom! The navy walls, white beadboard, even the sink/vanity are similar. Looking forward to more photos!
Looks beautiful! Just like the rest of your home ?
Thank you Pam! It’s coming along!!
Tell me about the paint you used on the bead board?
Brand, type, color?
Waiting to see your art!
Looking good, Susan. The bathroom looks bigger now. :)
It’s pure white from Home Depot, semi-gloss!
Thank you! It’s coming along, slowly lol!
Wow! What a transformation! Love every inch of it so far! I really love the vanity! Can’t wait to see the total reveal!
I love the navy walls and the flooring is gorgeous!
Lovely! As much as I liked your wallpaper, I can appreciate that sometimes you just want to change things up a bit. Your ideas and workmanship, certainly paid off. Your room is fresh and compliments the rest of your home. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!
The bathroom turned out fabulous; can you please let me know what vinyl flooring was used. Thanks so much!
