Hello sweet readers!
I hope this finds you well this beautiful Monday!
I’m working on easy handmade gifts. These handmade essential oil soaps are pretty and practical.
These are SO simple to make and pair nicely with the hand knitted cloths.
Here is what you’ll need:
Soap base, one pound made 10 bars.
Mold(s)*See note below
The rectangular bars I used raw honey about 2 TBSP for 4 bars and 6-8 drops of lavender and less than half a pound of soap base.
For the flower soaps, six bars I used Pine and Citrus Fresh about 6 drops of each and little over half a pound of the soap base.
Cut the base into cubes and put in a microwave safe bowl.
Heat at 30 second intervals until all the base is melted.
Stir in honey and oils.
Pour into molds, let set.
*The silicone molds are well worth the small investment. The plastic molds were tough to get the bars out of. I used a 40% off coupon for the flower silicon molds which made it about $6.50. Plus you can use them for baking too! The plastic ones were $2 and they got all bent when trying to remove the bars.
Pair with a knitted or store bought cloth for a thoughtful gift.
