I was looking for ways to create some interesting photo backgrounds and I came across Design Your Wall website. They have some fantastic contact papers that look so realistic!
I contacted d-c- fix California and asked if they’d like to partner up and I was thrilled when they said yes! I The pretty tray adds another layer to our summer bedroom. My lamps are a little on the small side so I use vintage books to give them a little added height!
I created this darling faux marble tray. It’s a simple idea and you can apply it to anything you already have. The marble looks so real! I took an old wood tray I had and gave it coat of white Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I let that dry. Then I cut a piece of the contact paper to the approximate size. I press it into the tray and used a blade to trim it fit the tray. They include a tool to smooth out the paper and I peeled the backing away as I went. This is an instant gratification project, so easy everyone can do it! And it’s beautiful!
I plan to get back to my original idea of making a photography background for some of my food shots so don’t be surprised when you see my “marble” background pop up in photos!
I was compensated in product for this post but all opinions are my own! I would never recommend anything to you that I didn’t love myself, promise! And bonus, I have one roll to give away to one of my awesome readers!!
