Can you believe that Christmas is days away? I’ve got some easy ideas for wrapping your gifts. Have you started wrapping yet? Truth be told, I have not! Better get going.
My style tends to be simple, in nearly everything I do. Keep it simple has been my mantra for years. My wrapping style is no different.
Here are my favorite basics:
Kraft paper/kraft bags
Cuttings or natural elements from the yard
For my first package, I used a kraft bag and strips of washi tape. I like things rustic so I fold the bag to the back side so you can see the ridges at the top.
Natural elements like pine cuttings and boxwood are readily available here, but you can use whatever you have in your yard. I usually grab my cutting shears and wander around. I take my branches from the back of the bushes, no one will ever know! On the package below I used pine cuttings and washi tape with twine.
I love yarn pom poms. I think because it reminds me of my childhood. My grandmother was always knitting so there was always yarn around. Back then I used pieces of cardboard to wrap my yarn around to make the pom poms. Now, I’ve got this fun little gadget that makes it so easy! I have a pom pom tutorial if you need help. I love using neutral yarns like this cream color, but you can easily buy whatever colors you like!
I hope you’re inspired to think outside the box for your holiday gifts! You can see how with just a few simple items you can create beautiful gifts. You can see a list of my essentials and where to buy them. These all go beyond just Christmas they are things I keep on hand all year long!
