I created this Anthropologie inspired DIY driftwood candle holder from found driftwood. On a visit to the waterfront, I noticed thousands of pieces of driftwood that had washed up on the rocks’ edge. Immediately, I got to thinking about what I could make. My family is used to me picking up random things or coming home with something I found on the curb, so no one thought I was crazy when I asked them to pick some out for me. The organic, rustic nature of the wood is just beautiful!
I gave each piece a quick sand and used a hand saw to cut them to the desired length. To start, I held the pieces in place with a rubber band. After I liked the arrangement I hot glued them to the glass. I tied some jute around a few times to add another texture and to help keep the wood in place. At no cost, I have an Anthropologie inspired driftwood candle holder. Driftwood is everywhere these days from mirrors, frames to light fixtures. I think another trip to gather more wood is in order!
