My ten-minute idea is a simple tip! I’m changing out the curtains in our bedroom. I have two sets of curtains for our room. One for Spring/Summer and one for Fall/Winter. I simply wash and store the sets when I change them so they are fresh and ready to go when I want to make the switch!
See I told you, super simple! I love the light and bright for the warm months and the dark and cozy for the cold months. It’s a bonus too because I love to change things up.
I set my timer, here we go! Out goes the light lace curtains, did I mention I’ve had these since my 20’s? I think they might be considered vintage!
The whole idea is to make the room cozy for the colder season. When it’s snowing here for months at a time you really want to give yourself a rest from all the white. The dark curtains are a welcome change and it makes it feel more like a cocoon. These are from Target. Super affordable so when I want to add another set to the rotation I can. Since I don’t want to hide the old trim I only use one panel for each window. Vintage hooks act as my tie backs. I can just tuck them in between the hooks, so easy, no fuss!
Other easy ways to make your room cozy, add blankets and soft pillows. I’m not sure if fresh flowers make it cozy, but they sure do make it inviting! And don’t forget the books.
