Easy bouquet for any occasion. Step by step.

Easy bouquet for any occasion. Step by step.

WIth so many little occasions a bouquet from your yard is a sweet gift for a dance recital, graduation or even a teacher gift. With a few simple supplies you can make your own. If you don’t have flowers you can use, try Trader Joe’s or your local florist. I use my gardening shears for cutting flowers but you can use scissors if the stems

Handmade Glitter Ornaments

Handmade Glitter Ornaments

I love giving handmade gifts and these ornaments are just lovely. You don’t need much to make them, just a few supplies and a little time. You’ll need:  Paper mache balls, paper (I used sheet music and old french dictionary pages), Modge Podge, a small brush, glitter (I used both German glass glitter and fine glitter), paper & stamps if you want to add tags and

China Cabinet Makeover.

China Cabinet Makeover.

Gotta love Pic Monkey, so fun to try out all their cool editing tools! I painted the inside black to give it some drama, the white ironstone really pops. The rest of the piece is a warm neutral from BM. You can find the color here. Right now it’s home is the front porch but I plan on selling this piece along with the other

My Next Project.

My Next Project.

By now you’ve gotta be thinking how many things does this girl have in her garage? I swear this is the last one! I love collecting old pieces and making them pretty again. I got this one at a garage sale we spotted on the way to baseball, my family thinks I’m crazy. I got it all sanded and ready to go. While taking the

The $5 Sister Table

The $5 Sister Table

I just happened to have another $5 side table hiding in the garage. It got the same little makeover the first one did! I love the way to coordinate but are different. Paint is a great way to make two different styles cohesive. In case you missed the original post  or you want to know the details you can find it here. The first table

My $5 Table, Before & After.

My $5 Table, Before & After.

I picked up this little table at a garage sale for $5 last summer. It’s been collecting dust and I decided to get it out and repaint it and make the top a chalkboard. I thought it would be a fund twist on a typical painted piece. Before I gave it a quick sand and painted away! I used the French Linen Annie Sloan’s chalk

DIY Paper Snowflakes.

DIY Paper Snowflakes.

As part of our Winter party decor I’m making paper snowflakes. The 3D variety. My daughter came home from school with one and I thought they were lovely. Just a few simple supplies, copy paper, scissors, tape and a stapler. Fold into a square and cut off excess paper.  Fold into a triangle. Fold again. With fold along bottom. Cut three lines about 3/4″ wide

DIY Pillows

DIY Pillows

Make your own easy DIY pillows. I love changing things around, switching out pillows is one of my favorite things to do. I went to my vintage fabric stash and found a sweet yellow print. You can purchase a similar fabric here. I made a third out of a shirt my husband had in the donation pile, cute gray and white stripe. I use the
